What is Chick-fil-A Sauce?

Chick-fil-A sauce is a popular dipping sauce sold by the Chick-fil-A restaurant franchise company. It’s commonly enjoyed alongside the restaurant chain’s chicken nuggets and waffle fries and can be purchased at any restaurant chain in the United States or online.

Ingredient Notes

Find the printable recipe with measurements in the recipe card below.

  • Mayonnaise—You can use store-bought or homemade mayonnaise. I don’t recommend using Miracle Whip, as it is much sweeter than regular mayonnaise.
  • BBQ sauce—Use regular barbecue sauce, not the spicy variety, honey BBQ sauce, or sweeter-tasting BBQ sauce, as the honey added to this recipe adds sufficient sweetness. Ketchup could be used instead of BBQ sauce and offers a similar result.
  • Mustard—Plain yellow mustard is best. Dijon mustard or other spicy mustard isn’t recommended, as these will change the flavor of the sauce. Likewise, don’t use honey mustard, as this will make the sauce overly sweet.
  • Honey –  You’ll only need a small amount to sweeten this sauce.

How to Make Chick-fil-A Sauce

Whisk all the ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl. Use as needed and store the rest in the fridge.

What Does Chick-fil-A Sauce Taste Like?

Chick-fil-A sauce is a delicious combination of sweet, smoky, tangy, and creamy. It’s the perfect complement to chicken and a great choice for dipping, spreading, and dressing fries, roasted veggies, sandwiches, and salads.

What to Serve with Chick-fil-A Sauce

Serve this homemade sauce with fried chicken, baked or air fryer chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, or chicken wings. Dip or drizzle it over French fries, tater tots, and roasted potatoes, or spread it on burgers, sandwiches, and wraps.

    Storage

Once the ingredients have been combined, store the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week

I don’t recommend freezing since it contains mayonnaise.
