Air Fryer Boneless Pork Chops

I love a good pork chop. A bad one? Not so much. But, a good one? Oh man, a good pork chop can turn any frown upside down.

Today, is all about making perfect boneless pork chops in your air fryer. No marinating or breading is required (yay!) Instead, they’re rubbed with a simple seasoning mixture, popped in the air fryer, and cooked in under 12 minutes. This recipe works for thin and thick-cut pork chops; but keep an eye on the internal temperature to avoid overcooking. Cooking with bone-in chops? Check out my Air Fryer Bone-In Pork Chops Recipe.

How to Cook Boneless Pork Chops in the Air Fryer

I made this recipe using the COSORI 5.8-qt Air Fryer. You can find the printable recipe in the recipe card at the bottom of this page.

1. Preheat the air fryer and prepare the ingredients. Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels, then place them on a clean plate and set aside. Finally, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a small bowl. Gently mix to combine.

2. Season the pork chops. Season both sides of the pork chops generously with the prepared seasoning mixture.

3. Air fry the pork chops. Spray the inside basket of the air fryer with non-stick cooking spray, then transfer 4-5 pork chops inside the basket (avoid overcrowding). Cook for 4 minutes, then remove the basket, carefully flip each pork chop over, and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes or until the internal temperature registers 145 degrees Fahrenheit as measured by a digital meat thermometer.

4. Rest. Allow your pork chops to rest for 3-5 minutes before serving. This helps the juices settle and keep the meat tender.

Cooking Tips

  • Allow your pork chops to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking. This will help with even cooking.
  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in two batches if necessary.
  • Use a digital meat thermometer to ensure your pork chops are fully cooked while also preventing overcooking. Pork should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Don’t forget to let your pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.

What to Serve with Air Fryer Pork Chops

Pork chops taste phenomenal with nearly all side dishes. Potato sides are a unanimous favorite at my house and include mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, or cheesy scalloped potatoes. That said, sometimes I’ll just serve them with a side of buttery egg noodles with peas. We also love a hearty side of veggies—anything from sauteed mushrooms to roasted zucchini to a simple house salad.

Storage and Freezing

Pork chops refrigerate and freeze well. To store leftovers, allow them to cool before transferring them to an airtight zip-top bag or container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To freeze, I suggest wrapping each room-temperature pork chop in freezer wrap or aluminum foil before placing them in freezer bags. Remove as much air as possible and freeze for up to 6 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before gently reheating in your air fryer preheated to 350°F for approximately 5 minutes or until warmed throughout.
