First, I want to apologize for being a little absent the past week or so.
My life has been surprisingly busy lately.

Today is the final post for my Death Valley adventure I had a few years ago with the fiance.
This will be more of a photo-dump than story time.

Badwater:
Lowest place in North America.
The Artists Palette:
Gorgeous views and surprising colors.
You can simply drive through, or get out and explore on your own. We chose to explore.
Ubehebe Crater:
Giant crater formed by volcanic activity.
We got lost for an entire afternoon exploring the surrounding area. One of my favorite locations in Death Valley.
But, I will leave all of you with this photo of me…
It’s still a mystery how this happened.
My eye was almost swollen completely shut.
The outdoors and I don’t always see eye-to-eye.Obviously.Overall, Death Valley was incredible!
I can’t wait to go back.

If you are interested, it is helpful to have a vehicle with 4WD- otherwise, you will not be able to access many of the back country trails and locations.
We had to rent a jeep for a day and it was not cheap.
Go when it is cool. December and January are best.
There are 3 hotels, but camping is the most rewarding-
as long as you don’t mind waking up with a swollen face.
The best way to see the most beautiful spots in the park is to get out and explore.
