My eye was almost swollen completely shut.
The outdoors and I don’t always see eye-to-eye.Obviously.Overall, Death Valley was incredible!
I can’t wait to go back.
If you are interested, it is helpful to have a vehicle with 4WD- otherwise, you will not be able to access many of the back country trails and locations.
We had to rent a jeep for a day and it was not cheap.
Go when it is cool. December and January are best.
There are 3 hotels, but camping is the most rewarding-
as long as you don’t mind waking up with a swollen face.
The best way to see the most beautiful spots in the park is to get out and explore.

And I like you a lot for posting that photo at the end – reminds me of the time when I posted my pink eye. No one needed to see it but I think we all appreciate these honest photos.

I once went on a trip there during college for my geology class and saw a lot of these places – my teacher was in absolute geology heaven 🙂
