So, where did I leave off? Oh, yes. The fiance was sent away to find us lodging because he insisted we fly to a semi-remote location without hotel reservations. You can read part I here
[His solution if we couldn’t find a place to stay was to sleep in a tent on the beach. Too bad we didn’t have a tent, or sleeping bags. Yes, I am marrying a genius]
After another 30 minutes, the fiance returns with the news that we had a place to stay.
Lucky for us, one very kind English speaking man let him use his phone to call the two remaining hotels we hadn’t looked into yet.
We got the last hotel room. We got very lucky.
And I learned one very important lesson…
Always have some idea where to stay when traveling. Especially in remote areas or during peak season.
The rest of the trip was amazing. Although it was no Hyatt, the little bungalows were charming. Besides, our days were packed with activity. The only time we spent in the room was to sleep. The food was delicious and the location quiet. The resort was small and family owned. It was great!
Local dog kept attacking the fiance’s shoe… I don’t blame him, those are some pretty uglyy shoes! |
I loved my hammock time. |
We were way too big for these small horses. And this was the FIRST time Aaron ever rode a horse! Little did he know it wouldn’t be the last. |
Hope everyone is having a great Monday!
