Why You’ll Love Toffee Bars

These toffee bars are my all-time favorite sweet treat to make for family and friends. They come together in less than 45 minutes and can easily be made in advance. Enjoy at potlucks, bake sales, parties, and holidays – everyone loves these yummy toffee bars studded with mini chocolate chips. If you want to make these toffee bars gluten free, simply substitute the flour with your favorite gluten-free flour mixture.

How to Make Toffee Bars

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a 13×9-inch baking dish with parchment or grease with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients and cut in the butter by hand or with a food processor until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes until the top is nicely golden.
  3. While the bottom crust is baking, beat until smooth the condensed milk, egg, and vanilla. Once combined, add in the toffee, chocolate chips, and chopped pecans. Spread this mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned on top. Cool and chill before cutting

Hi Love the pics of these bars and I cant wait to try them. Here is my question, I cannot find English toffee, can I substitute some other can caramel candy for that and any suggestions for what I can use would be appreciated. Thanks.
