Mediterranean Grilled Turkey Burgers Recipe

These Mediterranean Turkey Burgers are an easy and delicious ground turkey recipe perfect for indoor or outdoor grilling. Topped with roasted red peppers, fresh greens, and a refreshing cucumber yogurt sauce, these incredible grilled turkey burgers are guaranteed to be an instant favorite.
I used this indoor electric grill to make these turkey burgers.

Ingredients

For the Turkey Burgers

  • 2 pounds ground turkey preferably dark meat or between 80-90% lean
  • ½ cup green onions finely chopped
  • cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

For the Cucumber Yogurt Sauce

  • 1 ½ cups Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup cucumber diced
  • ½ cup red onion diced
  • 2 teaspoon fresh dill minced
  • salt + pepper to taste

Additional Toppings

  • 6 hamburger buns
  • Romaine lettuce or other fresh greens optional
  • Roasted red bell peppers optional
  • Sliced tomatoes optional

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey with the green onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and crumbled feta cheese. Thoroughly, mix to combine and use your hands to shape into 6 patties.
  • Pre-heat grill to medium heat or indoor electric grill to high heat and grill for approximately 5-6 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature registers 165 degrees F.
  • As the turkey burgers cook, prepare the toppings. For the yogurt sauce, combine the Greek yogurt with the cucumber, red onion, dill, and salt and pepper, to taste. 
  • Just before serving, lightly toast your hamburger buns and assemble. Start with the lettuce on the bottom, followed by the turkey burger, roasted bell pepper, tomato, and cucumber yogurt sauce. Enjoy!
